A Product Bundle is a set of items that are grouped and shipped together.
Creating Product Bundles is useful when you sell a set of items, but you also sell the items individually. Creating a bundle allows us to keep the inventory flexibly so we can ship the constituent items as they are sold individually, or as a set.
Let's say you designed and developed a line of pint glasses - one for each of the three founders in your company. Each cup has its own design, and is sold both individually, as well as in a set of 3. You don't want to pre-pack the sets, but rather store them individually for the most flexibility depending on how sales come in.
To set this up, we'll need to create a 'bundle' or set of these three cups with the following process:
Now click Select Items and add each of the individual items, in this case the three cups to the set. Once that's done, you can see the inventory level is that of the item with the least inventory, so you can only sell as many bundles as you have inventory for.
NOTE: For this example we're only adding 1 of each cup, but you have the flexibility to add any number of an item to a bundle
That's it! You can now sell both the individual units and the bundle without committing inventory into any one configuration.
